  • Useless and Expensive

I recently purchased premium version of this app. From the moment it was installed it didn’t work. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it as suggested by their website - it still doesn’t work. Support is useless as they provide no other solutions other than the same instructions found on their website. Save your money, this app is a major fail. - autor:jadlink - title:Useless and Expensive

  • Not a good as the free one they do for AT&T

Lacking features in this paid version, including blocking of incoming numbers which they offer for free to AT&T customers. - autor:Rrrrrrrrrrrrrr!?!?!?! - title:Not a good as the free one they do for AT&T

  • Complete garbage

It blocks NOTHING. It’s correctly setup for call blocking and identification, but it does absolutely nothing. I’m a premium member too. I’m uninstalling and trying a different call blocker. Save your money, use a different app. - autor:geozog - title:Complete garbage

  • Useless! Spam calls increased!!

    By 1
Ever since I installed this app and entered my phone number, the spam calls have gone from 1-2 a day (for several months) to literally 6 a day in the last 2 days, three of which were in the last 20 mins!! It can’t be a coincidence. More importantly, what good is “Neighbor Scam Protection” when each call is from a different PREFIX (same area code)?! The app needs to allow blocking of ENTIRE area codes and call it a day! I don’t live in CA more nor do I know anyone in that city/state so it would be easy as pie if I could just BLOCK the whole area code! Instead I’m getting endless 310 calls back-to-back and having to enter the individual area code and prefix *every time* in hopes it blocks the next call — which it never does bc it’s the same area code but new prefix. Ridiculous. Not to mention I’ve had to subscribe to the $2.99/mo service in order to block more than one prefix (up to 25). Well guess what, between yesterday and today I’ve already burned through the 25! There is a near-infinite number of prefix combinations, so 25 entries is a joke. It really needs to allow the option to just block the first THREE digits, not the first SIX. I already had YouMail which was helping somewhat but I was hoping Hiya would reduce it to zero. Instead it’s done the opposite and now I’m wishing I would’ve just stuck with YouMail and not entered my number into this database. - autor:Brandyzzle - title:Useless! Spam calls increased!!

  • Can’t recommend right now

    By 1
Hiya worked great when I first started using it. Not sure what happened or when, but it’s no longer automatically providing caller ID info. When a call comes in it looks exactly the same as without Hiya. I can go in after the call, enter the number in the manual lookup tool in Hiya, it identifies the number at that point, and then the number is updated with info from Hiya in the recent calls list - but nothing is happening automatically like when I first installed it. From the looks of other reviews I’m not the only one this is happening to. I canceled my premium subscription. Not paying for that when it’s not working like it’s supposed to. - autor:scot_s - title:Can’t recommend right now

  • Great, but could use background auto-updates

    By 2
I found this to be a great option to limit telemarketing calls and spam. However, it does not seem to update on its own, requiring the user to open the application and hit the update button in order to receive them. This means to stay current, one needs to update every single day as there are constant releases in the form of database entries. In future releases I expect to see the application auto update itself without user interaction. Edit: since a couple weeks ago, the protection numbers when updating reduce. It used to claim over 200k numbers flagged, it’s now down to 174k and dropping daily. I’m getting one to two calls per day from telemarketers and neighbor spam callers and will delete the app as it doesn’t seem to be doing its job. Too bad. - autor:Aguyontheinternet - title:Great, but could use background auto-updates

  • Name Available - NOT

    By 2
I received a call on my iPhone. I suspected it was not legitimate, so I didn’t answer. Hiya claimed “Name Available” and “working number”, and suggested I upgrade to Premium. I declined. Called the number. Got, “You have reached a non-working number.” So, it’s obvious that Hiya doesn’t know a non-working number when it encounters one! - autor:CuAppFan - title:Name Available - NOT
