It would be nice if we could sync water intake from Health app as well as we can sync weight :) - autor:tomicic.ivan - title:Water sync

I’ve been no stranger to calorie counting or meal prep, and have used a variety of apps. This one is by far the worst. The free version is basically useless, and I tried upgrading to the paid version thinking it would be better. Wrong! So the paid version provides meal plans. This means it gives you recipes. I got two a day. A sample menu as laid out in this app for me in a full day includes no breakfast, whole wheat rolls for lunch (~200 calories) and a quinoa and fruit bowl for dinner (~300 calories). And it constantly sends me reminders to drink water if I’m hungry. Seriously? At 500 calories a day with basically no protein, no vegetables, and no fat of course I’d be starving. The point of this is to stay healthy, not starve myself. The food list only allows you to input most foods in ounces. A pat of butter? Better figure it out in ounces! Half an Apple? Nope, ounces. A teaspoon of anything? You won’t be able to find it. There’s an option to scan a barcode but I haven’t scanned a single item in my entire kitchen that came up correctly. My fitness pal is free and has way better functionality. I’m also a picky eater. I tried to swap the recipes but it would only cycle through the same 5 meals. For the week. None of them looked appealing and in most cases were not appropriate for meals. Who eats just rye bread for dinner? I’ve already cancelled the subscription and have been trying to get my money back for days, but the customer service department seems even more pointless than the app. Don’t waste your time. Stick with literally any other app out there. I’ll be going back to MFP. - autor:Itsmeleelee - title:Don’t waste your time

It would be better if you could link Fitbit data without going pro, but all I all it’s a good tracker. - autor:jayweezesk - title:Good app

  • Very disappointed

I am a diabetic and also doing Keto and this app has no way of changing the high carb option. What they set is what’s set but you can’t see this before you pay. - autor:smcosmet - title:Very disappointed

  • I regret paying for the premium plan!

    By 1
I have been using MyFitnessPal for a long time. I have also been stuck at the same weight for a long time. I thought the change of program might help me get going again. The food logging with this app is TERRIBLE! Everything is in ounces, even when I create my own recipe. So, I have no idea how much to put in. I created a recipe for a healthy homemade pizza I found online. When I went to enter it, even though I tried to say it had 6 slices, I had to enter it in ounces. The only way I can get the food right is to log it all In MyFitnessPal and then transfer the number into this app calling it a “custom entry”. I may just kiss my money goodbye and go back to MFP. I was really looking forward to the change, especially since I could use my Apple Watch with this app, but it takes my twice as long to enter my food. - autor:Lisa5127 - title:I regret paying for the premium plan!

  • Thanks for responding to the review 😁

UPDATE: thanks for responding to the review! I updated from 1 star to more accurately rate the app plus another star in appreciation for your response. I’ll be sure to check out the app again in a few months. I wish you well 😁 OLD REVIEW: Just let me try the app without all the questions and making an account I just downloaded a bunch of tracking apps because I’m trying to find something that will easily let me visually see photos of what I ate. Bonus that this one seemed to do that, in addition seems to track calories, so it could also replace MFP for me. I just wanted to try the app, but first, I had to answer a bunch of personal questions 😑 Then, I make it through all the questions, THEN I find out I have to start an account and give you my email address. Mind you, I still haven’t even been able to try the app to see if I want to use it. I was about to delete it, and came back here to leave a one star rating for making me go through all the questions and then springing the account thing on me, when I saw the app looked really good, so I decided to try it. I entered my spam email address, and finally, I was in. I got through the pop ups, and started to enter my breakfast. First food: eggs. Searched that, and it has a photo of...a chicken leg 🤦‍♀️ Ok, well, whatever, I mainly came for a photo diary, which it looks like you can do based on the photos. However, I couldn’t figure out how to do it. Admittedly, I didn’t try that hard, but it wasn’t intuitive. The pros of this app is it has a much more attractive UI than MFP, but less in the database. If there is actually a way to add photos, that would be a pro. It would be better suited to those who don’t know how to lose weight/what to eat, because the app seems to tell you that. I know what to eat, I just need a way to track foods and see photos in a visually pleasing way. This app isn’t for me, but not every thing is for everyone, and that’s ok. The app itself might be about 3-4 stars, but this is a protest review against not just letting me try the app without tricking me into going through all those questions before making an account. If I had just been able to try the app, I would not have left a review unless it was going to be 5 stars. Please be considerate of people’s time while they are trying to search for an app and let them quickly try it. Thanks for considering it and taking the time to read this. It does look like this app looks promising (for what it’s intended to do). I wish you well :) - autor:Junko Jones - title:Thanks for responding to the review 😁

  • Needs work

The food portion selections need to be more user friendly and based on how someone consumes them. I do not measure by the ounce but do use tablespoon or teaspoon. Fix that and it will be much better. Also, for the price it should have much larger and robust food database. People have to find comparable food items to substitute. If this were free I’d give this feature more slack for not being available, but at this price point it should be there. The UI is way busy. It takes me a bit to understand what I’m seeing. I do end up getting to the information I need but I would think others would like a much cleaner look and feel. - autor:Austswim69 - title:Needs work
