Description

Learn Spanish, French, Italian, German, and many more languages with Babbel. Developed by a team of language learning experts, Babbel has helped millions of people speak a new language with confidence. THE BABBEL METHOD Here’s what makes Babbel more effective than any other language learning app: 1. Confidence — Our goal is to get you speaking from your very first lesson. And our elegantly designed courses give you the confidence to get there. We teach you how to engage in practical, everyday conversations, making it easier for you to have authentic experiences in your new language. 2. Comprehension — Our lessons immerse you in relevant culture and real-life conversations. We want you to really take in the language, not just memorize useless phrases. And we provide helpful hints in English (or your native language) to make your new language more relatable. 3. Retention — We know you’re busy. That’s why our lessons are short but sweet: about 10-15 minutes, and designed to send your new language straight to long-term memory. We regularly refresh your memory with our dynamic review sessions, which target areas where you need improvement most. Finally, we make sure you really grasp what you’re learning by bringing it back later in a new context. • The sync is messed up

    By 1
Bought my subscription online and used it on the web but nothing reflects on the iPad app. I’m hoping that sync is a big feature with an app over multiple platforms else how am I supposed to keep progressing while traveling or while on my desk. • Great at first but could use some help

    By 4
This is a great app for getting started with a language. It teaches grammar at a good pace and let’s you pick supplementary lessons on vocab and phrases based on the subject matter which is nice. But, once you’ve been using it for a while, the integrated review section gets VERY cluttered. I might sit down to do some review and have it review the same word within the exact same context two or three times in 20 or 30 items. When that gets stacked sometimes I am only getting useful review out of 20-30% of the prompts. Additionally, the in depth lessons don’t really provide any feedback. It’ll have you say lines and listen to them or write a text and then read an example but it doesn’t point out how you can improve. I know my pronunciation is not excellent, but the speaking practice that they give won’t help me with that. Tl;dr: this app is good for a month’s intensive introduction to get to a lower intermediate level, but then it’s not so effective. - autor:CirdanTheShipwright - title:Great at first but could use some help

You have to pay after the very beginning of each language, so you only learn like 4 word.😠😤 - autor:𝐵𝑜𝒷 - title:Money

  • Ok but not free

None of the reviews I read mentioned that, so maybe it saves you a download. Definitely prefer Duolingo, hope this doesn’t get deleted lol - autor:deej808aba - title:Ok but not free

  • Not enough languages

I want to learn Japanese but it wasn’t a option. If they add more languages then it would be a good app - autor:riska j - title:Not enough languages

  • French lessons

It would really help if the audio phrases or sentences has a slowed down version so I can hear the pronunciation or none thereof, of each syllable. I realize the French speaker will not do that for me, but for the beginners courses that would really help. They do it at Duolingo and that’s very helpful. Too bad I already bought into Babbel. - autor:Florenug - title:French lessons

  • Inefficient

    By 2
It’s okay, but for the price, it doesn’t teach as efficiently as it should. It throws you into Cyrillic without teaching you how to read it, and then forces you to spell the vocab words you just learned - without focusing on the memorization of the word itself. It’s too condensed and doesn’t teach in steps so it’s very ineffective when you’re trying to actually learn what the words mean. It’s they cut out the spelling part it would be better, as that isn’t really an issue for anyone when first beginning to learn a language. And the words are intricate, not simple. So it’s confusing. - autor:jakalala12 - title:Inefficient

  • Speaking mixup

When using the speaking lessons the B sounds get listed as V sounds so you get stuck repeating the same sentence ten times. - autor:senterQ1 - title:Speaking mixup
