  • What’s there for free is fine

Rating purely on what I get for free version, this app gives you just enough to work with when you’ve got that urge to write. It’s clean and simple, the formatting is straightforward, and I love the word goal/count feature, it’s really encouraging watching that red bar go down. I even even like the TOS, the developers seem to really care about writers owning what they write in the digital age. Not always the main concern for other apps/websites. My main requests would be 1. a search/find feature, especially since the “jump to end” feature is broken. As you begin to write more, and it gets harder to go back and edit. There’s a way to jump from section to section, but navigation depends on how large your sections are. 2. Text format options within options (eg. combining headers with italics, italics within bold, etc.) Probably the main reasons to pay money for this app are: For heavy writers looking for organization: unlocking the writing limit (not sure if there’s a word count limit, but I was capped out at around 8 projects and ideas combined). Forces you to get creative with organization within sections, but for those with more to write it can be frustrating. Format dependent writers: Unlocking the screenplay/poetry/screenplay formats Multi platform writers: Unlocking ability to work on the computer via the app’s website To me, even if you’re all three of these things, which I’m not, the monthly subscription is pretty steep. I wonder if it wouldn’t be possible to split up some features for a lower price. - autor:Ltelle - title:What’s there for free is fine

  • Great app! Love it!😍 But...

I loved this app, then I was up to six projects, and I got a little mad because I really wanted to make a new one, but instead I had to delete another one so that I could make that one. And for anyone who doesn’t know already, you have to pay to get more than six projects! Another thing: literally all you can do is write a text if you don’t pay. And I really don’t want to waste my money on just a template. So that’s something you need to fix. What I’m saying is, I don’t like how literally EVERYTHING in this app needs money to get. You don’t have to change it all, just saying. You might have a few angry people using your app. Thankyou! - autor:Rgoble - title:Great app! Love it!😍 But...

  • Thank you!!!

This app is practically flawless. I can vomit all my ideas into one app and have them all readily available. When I'm on the go I can pop out Weirdsmith and write short stories on the fly. Thank you for making it awesomeness. One thing: I wish it didn't cost money, I mean it's not super expensive but it's just so great I wish it was completely free. I’m a poor writer who is struggling financially!!! But hey, as my grandfather always says, “Nothing in life is free!” :) thanks again weirdsmith people! • My favorite writing app.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. This is a very intuitive app. I usually struggle understanding all the features and how to get to them when I need one. Werdsmith, is simply awesome at making it easy, so all I have to do...is write. Thank you. - autor:Freya's first - title:My favorite writing app.

  • Amazing, but needs work

This is an AMAZING app, and I absolutely love it, but the Help instructions for creating a new section were not very helpful. I still have no idea how to do it. - autor:SuperWh0L0ck - title:Amazing, but needs work

  • My favorite app.

This is a great app. I enjoy writing but sometimes it gets annoying on paper. The whole google docs thing can get difficult to sign up to. This app is very simple. All you do is download it and get started on your writing. I highly suggest this. My favorite part is I can set the word amount goal. (For example I put in 1000 words as my goal and it tells me the percentage I’m finished with it and tells me when I get to that goal) this is a very great app. - autor:Puffalunicorn - title:My favorite app.

  • Great for writing

It is great for writing stories but the premium is basically the same. I think it’s a ripoff but I don’t care because the app itself is great. - autor:Scrappy the Journalist - title:Great for writing

  • Too expensive

    By 4
UPDATE: So, I didn’t realize that I could restore the purchase I’d made for the unlimited writing. That’s really nice that I could do that. It’s still not an absolutely perfect app, the price is still a bit too high for what it really is but it’s not awful and now that I’m not salty about my purchase disappearing, I’m more inclined to leave four stars instead of my previous two. OLD REVIEW: A few years ago I remember paying like $2 to unlock unlimited projects/ideas or whatever. Then, that became a normal, free feature for everyone. Now, it’s back to being a paid subscription and there’s, of course, nothing being given to me in recognition of the money I paid in the past. At this point, I don’t want to give this app my money because I have no idea how long it’ll last for. The app itself is only okay. There are options for fonts and sizes and colors, etc., but they’re minimal. I wouldn’t pay $5/month for this anyways, honestly. It’s just a notebook with a passcode. That’s too expensive for something so simple. - autor:Abigail Hayley Boyer - title:Too expensive

  • Writing Limit? C’mon, what the heck?!

    By 3
I’ve had the app for a few weeks, and I’ve loved it. It was a great way to write and get all my ideas out. And then I came to the writing limit, of which I knew nothing about. Basically, you can start writing, but you can’t get very far without needing to pay a fee to gain membership. I’m a minor and I’m not allowed to spend money on apps, so this has greatly hindered my ability to write. I’ve already got Ideas in the app, and I don’t want to switch to another app! However, since I can’t continue writing without paying a fee I can’t pay, I’m going to have to switch. It’s a shame really. Before the limit, I would have given the app 5 stars. - autor:Spartan8126512 - title:Writing Limit? C’mon, what the heck?!
