This app will charge your iTunes account for the full amount of an entire year’s subscription before the end of the 7-day trial, and there will be no possibility of getting a refund, or contesting it. I thought that this was an amazing concept for an app and considered purchasing the 14/month subscription (which I could afford), but I am just so upset right now. Why on Earth would an app designed to help people not give students like myself the opportunity to be refunded this exorbitant app cost if it is a genuine mistake? - autor:Sbveritas - title:Please cancel trial now

    1) Why is it asking me to sign in when I look at my account (when I tap the person icon at top right of home screen)? I’ve already set up an account &, when I go to sign in, after I put my email in, the app tells me that I’m starting a new account. So, I stop signing in bc I don’t want to delete everything. Am I signed in or not? 2) There are habits that don’t always occur every day but are important to be mindful of. It’d be nice if we could set up habits that happen as frequently as we’d like (for example, once a week, I’ll create my own task to “go grocery shopping,” or twice a week, I’ll create my own task to, “water plants”). Stuff like that. 3) I read somewhere in your content overview map/letter no. 1 or something that this company, “has no ego.” Okay, everyone, even a monk, has an ego. That really gave me a laugh (& not in a good way). Maybe swap it out for, “we strive to contain our ego,” or, “we do our best to keep our egos in check.” 4) Consider making your content mini-podcasts. You have a lot of content &, in this day & age, it’s *too much* stuff to consume. Keep the article format. Don’t get rid of that. But, go back & add in a way to hit play so we can listen to this on our daily drive to work or whatever. You’re already asking us to change our habits in the morning. Do you think we’ve got time to read your essay once we’re done? No. No one does. 5) I had a task appear for “exercise for 3 days,” this week w/ no warning & then disappear w/ no warning. You should announce new tasks/habits better after the completion of a new habit challenge. Where did my habit go? Will it come back? I’d like to do that habit w/o messing w/ your science of things. So, am I taking on too much if I do it anyway? These are all questions I have & don’t expect you to answer. But, I’m annoyed by this & hope you fix it/bring that habit back to me ASAP. 6) Your app layout is confusing, & I don’t understand all of the different areas you can go to nor why they are there. I suggest doing one of those “tap here to do this & this” walkthrough tutorials at the start of every new sign up. To fix the confusion now, next time you update, just do that for all users. Like, what am I supposed to do with the content that’s there right now or the challenges or journeys or whatever?? It’s frustrating & you guys talk yourselves up A LOT. Meet your own standards. 7) Stop trying to jock so hard on peer to peer marketing. It’s messed up. If you’re so good, you’ll succeed. Stop trying to force my friends to sign up for your app. If community is really so helpful to success, build a buddy system w/in the app. I’m serious, it’s a good idea. You’re welcome. (&, while we’re at it, don’t tell us to go visit your Instagram all the time). I want to feel like you guys care but, between your over-inflated egos & over-kill marketing, you really just make me feel like I’m a number & a dollar figure to you. Which, as a business, even if you say it’s not true, I know is. But, if you want to keep claiming you care, then act like it. - autor:goforbrookie - title:It’s a good start but has a long way to go. • Money grab preying on people’s insecurities.....

The app is pure at its core, based upon what its mission statement is. However, the mechanics of the app and all of the subscription offers attached to each message you receive, say otherwise. I was really excited when I downloaded the app and setup my profile. Once I was finished it took me through my 1st journey. Drinking water. I get what the premise of this exercise was getting at and I played along. Once complete, it took me to my first message. Which explained that If i wanted the full benefits and access to premium journeys to sign up for $49.99 a year. Ok cool I can do that plus there is a 7 day trial. So I click out of the message to explore the app a bit before I make a decision. I go into another message titled, “Your Personalized Journey.” I read a bit of it and scroll down a bit more and there’s another offer that says 2 week trial offer for some Sphere something or other. So I’m like cool, i can try it out for 2 weeks instead of 7 days. I click it because hey this just became a better deal I’ll try it out. So I click the link to subscribe and what do I see but. Change in the price. This pop up stated it would by a free trial for 2 weeks and then $12.99/Month for access to the Sphere whatchamacalit. So I exit out and go to the first message again and then it clicked. MONEY GRAB. Issa MONEY GRAB. I can accept one fee for everything your seeking to these people. But you guys are not only asking for an annual fee to get this help you’re offering to be better and more functional humans. But then you want people to also cough up more money every month. ON TOP PF THE FACT THAT THOUGH THIS IS, “SUPPOSED,” scientific data, you’re a operated by students, professors and or faculty of a university. Not that I’m questioning your credentials, but who is to say you aren’t some failed psychologist who is trying to milk people on their insecurities and their money. I just do not understand how you’re really helping people with what you’re doing. Death to in app purchases. Quality used to be built into what you were buying. Not just a garnish that you have to pay $.99-$49.99 to experience. - autor:Cartermusiq - title:Money grab preying on people’s insecurities.....

Just so none of you end up in the same situation I did: when you sign up for the trial of the app, the only way to cancel is through the AppStore, under the subscriptions tab. There is no option to cancel in the app and they will not refund your money once they’ve charged you. The app itself was ok I just don’t think it did anything worth $50 and quite frankly can’t afford to drop that kind of money on an app on my phone. - autor:AJ2975 - title:Warning

  • Sexism Redux/Cult Like-Ambience w Creep Factor

    By 2
I came across this app accidentally and was intrigued. Nothing bugs me more than workout instructors who use words like “awesome” for completing a simple procedure. “Awesome” then becomes meaningless. The thing that really threw me. The habitat is out of 1950s sexist America. This sounds like something Don Draper would have dreamed up All examples of “success” in the intro are male. Ernest Hemingway was a drunk who treated women terribly and committed suicide. Steve Jobs was a despicable, self centered individual who was an awful father and treated his family and co-workers horribly. Then the icky voiceover is female with incorporated female goddess images. The wake-up routine has zero consciousness of waking up to a crying baby, or feeding hungry pets, or nurturing someone in addition to your Fabulous Self. The whole affect is of Scientology, or an episode of “Sex and the City.” The sexism makes me wonder what’s going on at Duke, home of the great Frat Boy system. I know the creators are well-intended and profit-motivated, and I wish I could enter into the spirit of the app, but y’all need to read some biographies instead of just focusing on behavior modification — how to manage rats in a cage. - autor:Good Health Cheer - title:Sexism Redux/Cult Like-Ambience w Creep Factor
